Biography

Two professional lives, one practice.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, Gregory completed his self-financed higher education — attending Holyoke Community College and the University of Massachusetts, and graduating cum laude from Husson College in Bangor, Maine with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.

His accounting career began at a privately owned company and continued at companies ranging from small to multi-national private and public firms. Greg later obtained his designation as a Certified Public Accountant and began serving clients in his own practice. In his profession as a CPA he has worked with entities of every size — profit and not-for-profit, limited liability companies, partnerships, and individuals. Clients describe him as accessible, accommodating, and extremely helpful.

To offer clients a broader range of services, Greg attended law school at night, receiving his Juris Doctorate from Western New England College and being admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts. He has also been admitted to the United States Tax Court and the Federal District Court of Massachusetts, and serves as a Massachusetts notary public. In his law practice, Attorney Galanek has represented individuals and businesses in real estate transactions, estate planning, personal and corporate taxation, and other legal affairs.

Firm philosophy

Experienced, direct, and quietly local.

The firm keeps a limited caseload on purpose. That is what makes it possible to have the same trusted advisor read the contract, run the numbers, and answer the phone when a client calls back with the follow-up question.

The tone is intentionally understated: direct answers, plain language, and a preference for helping clients understand what is happening — not impressing them with jargon. Long-standing client relationships are the cornerstone of the practice, and referrals from those clients remain the primary way new work comes in.
